What is BPC-157 (Body Protection Compound)?

BPC-157 is a synthetic 15-amino acid peptide derived from a protective protein found naturally in human gastric juice. In preclinical research, it has demonstrated robust angiogenic, cytoprotective, and anti-inflammatory properties, promoting tendon-to-bone healing, ligament repair, and gastrointestinal mucosal regeneration.

Because BPC-157 is supplied as a lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder, precise reconstitution math with Bacteriostatic Water (0.9% Benzyl Alcohol) is necessary to ensure sterile administration and microgram-level dosing accuracy.

Standard Clinical Research Protocols

Protocol TypeDose Per InjectionFrequencyDuration
Standard Tendon/Joint250 mcgTwice daily (500 mcg/day)4–6 weeks
Acute Trauma / Post-Op500 mcgTwice daily (1000 mcg/day)2–4 weeks

Storage & Reconstitution Best Practices

  • Lyophilized Powder: Store dry, unmixed vials in the freezer (below 0°C/32°F) or refrigerator away from light.
  • After Reconstitution: Always refrigerate (2°C to 8°C / 36°F to 46°F). Reconstituted peptide with BAC water should generally be consumed within 28–30 days.
  • Gentle Mixing: Slowly inject BAC water down the inside glass wall of the vial. Do not shake vigorously; gently swirl until completely dissolved.
