Why Zone 2 Cardio is the Foundation of Longevity

Zone 2 training refers to aerobic exercise performed at an intensity where your blood lactate levels remain below 2.0 mmol/L. At this level, your muscle cells rely almost exclusively on fatty acid oxidation through mitochondria to produce ATP.
